These Terms of Service govern your use of Qtype Pro at qtype.pro, including its website, lessons, typing tests, practice modes, games, analytics, subscriptions, emails, and related services.

In these Terms, “Qtype Pro”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean:

By creating an account, accessing Qtype Pro, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Qtype Pro.

Qtype Pro is an online touch-typing platform designed to help users improve typing speed, accuracy, consistency, and confidence through structured lessons, practice tools, games, and progress tracking.

Qtype Pro may offer both free and paid features. Some features are available only to users with an active paid subscription.

You may use Qtype Pro only if you are legally able to agree to these Terms.

If you are under the age at which you can legally do this on your own, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

If you are under 13 years old, you may register only with parent or guardian approval. If you indicate that you are under 13, you must provide an additional parent or guardian email address as part of the registration process. We may restrict, delay, or refuse access until the required approval steps are completed.

You must provide truthful information about your age and registration details.

To use certain parts of Qtype Pro, you may need to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account details up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out through your account.

You must contact us promptly at support@qtype.pro if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

We may suspend, restrict, or close accounts where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, breach of these Terms, security risk, fraud, or unlawful activity.

You agree not to misuse Qtype Pro.

• use the service for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data;
• interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the platform;
• upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or disruptive material;
• scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or exploit the service except where the law clearly allows it;
• use bots or automation to create fake accounts, fake activity, fake scores, or misleading results;
• submit material that is unlawful, infringing, threatening, hateful, obscene, or defamatory.

We may investigate misuse and take action including warnings, content removal, account suspension, or account termination.

Qtype Pro provides learning tools and progress features, including typing speed, accuracy, streaks, weak-key analysis, lessons, checkpoints, leaderboards, achievements, and related analytics.

These are provided for learning and informational purposes only.

Any certificates, badges, milestones, or achievement records shown in Qtype Pro are internal platform records only. They are not official educational qualifications, regulated certifications, professional licences, or guarantees of skill level for employment or external assessment purposes.

We do not guarantee that use of Qtype Pro will lead to any particular typing speed, accuracy level, exam result, job outcome, or productivity gain.

Qtype Pro may provide a free plan and one or more paid subscription plans.

The current features and prices are shown on the website at the time of purchase.

We may update features, plan structure, pricing, or packaging from time to time. Any changes will apply going forward and will not remove rights you already have under applicable law.

Free features may change or be withdrawn at any time.

When a paid subscription ends or is cancelled, access to paid features may stop immediately or at the end of the current billing period, depending on how the subscription is configured at the time.

If you purchase a paid subscription, you agree to pay the fees shown at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.

By starting a subscription, you authorise the recurring charges that apply to your selected plan until you cancel.

Your subscription details, billing interval, renewal timing, and cancellation options are available through the platform, including the billing page.

We may use a third-party payment provider such as Stripe to process payments. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers.

If payment fails, we may retry the payment, suspend paid access, downgrade the account, or cancel the subscription.

You can cancel your subscription from the billing page in your Qtype Pro account.

If you cancel, your subscription will continue until the end of the current paid billing period unless we state otherwise, and it will not renew after that.

Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account unless you separately request account deletion where that option is available.

We do not offer refunds beyond your statutory rights.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms removes or limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

From time to time, Qtype Pro may offer trials, discount codes, promotional pricing, or temporary access to paid features.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

• promotions are temporary;
• they may be withdrawn or changed at any time;
• they may be limited to certain users or time periods;
• standard pricing may begin automatically after the promotional period ends if that was clearly disclosed at signup.

By creating an account and using Qtype Pro, you agree that we may send you service emails related to your account and your use of the platform.

Service emails may include account verification, password reset, security notices, billing notices, subscription notices, important updates to the service, lesson or progress reminders, inactivity reminders, and messages about the next recommended step in your learning path.

We may also send marketing emails, such as product updates, offers, feature announcements, and learning-related promotional content, where permitted by law.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. You cannot opt out of essential service emails that are necessary to operate your account or provide the service.

If Qtype Pro allows you to submit custom text, profile details, practice content, or other material, you remain responsible for that content.

You confirm that you have the right to submit it, that it does not break the law, and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and use that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide Qtype Pro.

We may remove content that breaches these Terms or creates legal, safety, or operational risk.

Qtype Pro, including its software, design, branding, lessons, content structure, graphics, layout, analytics displays, and original materials, is owned by or licensed to the operator of Qtype Pro and is protected by intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Qtype Pro for personal use or your own internal lawful use in accordance with these Terms.

You must not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, resell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Qtype Pro except where applicable law clearly allows it.

We aim to keep Qtype Pro available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

We may update the service, add, remove, or change features, perform maintenance, or suspend access temporarily for security, legal, or technical reasons.

We may also discontinue part of the service if needed.

Qtype Pro may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment providers, email providers, hosting providers, analytics tools, and other external services.

We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control. Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and, where relevant, our Cookies Policy.

If a child under 13 registers, we may process both the child’s and the parent or guardian’s contact information as needed to manage parental approval and provide the service.

Qtype Pro is an educational and productivity tool.

It does not provide legal, medical, financial, recruitment, or professional certification advice.

Any recommendations, analytics, reminders, lesson suggestions, scores, and improvement plans shown by the platform are provided for general learning and informational purposes only.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qtype Pro is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, that it will always be error-free, that it will always meet every user’s expectations, that all calculations, rankings, or analytics will always be perfectly accurate, or that use of the service will lead to any particular result.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or anticipated savings, loss of data arising from factors outside our reasonable control, or user decisions made based on scores, analytics, reminders, or other platform outputs.

If we are liable to you in connection with Qtype Pro, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or £100.

If you are a consumer, this section applies only to the extent allowed by law and does not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

You may stop using Qtype Pro at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the service if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, we are required to do so for legal reasons, your use creates security, fraud, abuse, or operational risk, or payment for a paid plan is not successfully completed.

On termination, your right to use Qtype Pro ends immediately.

We may retain certain data where needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or legitimate record-keeping purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make a material change, we may notify users by email, through the website, through the app, or by updating the date at the top of this page.

The updated Terms take effect from the stated effective date. By continuing to use Qtype Pro after that date, you agree to the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory law in your place of residence requires otherwise.

If you are a business user, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring a claim in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live.
